Position Overview

We are seeking a driven, mechanically inclined Service Technician to provide technical support, equipment maintenance, customer training, and product demonstrations for industrial band saw equipment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working independently, solving technical challenges, and building strong customer relationships.

Training is provided , making this an ideal opportunity for candidates with strong mechanical aptitude who are eager to learn and grow. This home-based position can be located anywhere in Texas and offers significant autonomy, including the ability to manage your own travel schedule while supporting customers throughout the territory.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Service & Support

• Troubleshoot and resolve customer equipment issues on-site.
• Perform minor repairs, machine alignments, calibrations, and adjustments.
• Evaluate customer applications and recommend process improvements.
• Provide cutting parameter recommendations to improve performance and blade life.
• Serve as a trusted technical resource for distributors and end users.

Preventive Maintenance

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and equipment tune-ups.
• Replace guides, bearings, and other wear components as needed.
• Conduct equipment inspections and performance evaluations.
• Perform cutting tests and document results to support recommendations.

Customer Training

• Train machine operators and maintenance personnel on equipment operation and safety procedures.
• Educate customers on proper equipment use and preventive maintenance practices.
• Deliver both classroom and hands-on training sessions.

Sales & Customer Support

• Partner with Regional Sales Managers to support customer demonstrations and product testing.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Support business development and account growth initiatives.
• Maintain customer and service activity records in Salesforce CRM.

Administrative Responsibilities

• Coordinate travel and service schedules efficiently.
• Submit accurate expense reports and service documentation.
• Complete assigned projects during non-travel periods.

Qualifications

Required

• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to use basic hand tools and perform equipment adjustments and calibrations.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record .
• Ability and willingness to travel extensively throughout the territory.
• Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule.
• Flexibility to work extended hours when needed.

Preferred

• Experience working with industrial machinery, manufacturing equipment, or mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of band saw equipment, metal cutting applications, or related manufacturing processes.
• Previous field service, maintenance, technical support, or customer training experience.

Work Environment
